👨🍳 Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Mix the Cake Batter: In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, flour, sugar, and salt. Add the water, sour cream, vegetable oil, almond extract, vanilla extract, and egg whites. Beat on medium speed for 2–3 minutes until the batter is smooth and well combined.
- Pour & Bake: Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared pans. Smooth the tops with a spatula and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool: Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove them from the pans and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before frosting.
- Frost & Serve: Frost with your favorite frosting (cream cheese frosting works wonderfully) and decorate with fresh flowers or other wedding-themed garnishes for a special touch.
