Super Moist Banana Bread

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures the oven is at the right temperature for baking your banana bread evenly and thoroughly.
  2. Prepare the Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, mash the 3 ripe bananas until smooth. You can use a fork or potato masher for this step. Add the 3 eggs, 1/2 cup salted butter (melted), and 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce to the mashed bananas. Stir everything together until the ingredients are well combined. The apple sauce helps keep the bread moist while adding a subtle sweetness.
  3. Combine the Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix together the 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, and 1 1/2 cups of regular flour. Stir these dry ingredients until well combined. The cinnamon will add a warming flavor, while the baking powder and soda ensure the bread rises nicely.
  4. Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet banana mixture. Stir gently until everything is fully combined. The batter should be thick, yet pourable. Be careful not to overmix, as that could affect the texture of the bread.
  5. Pour into Loaf Pan: Grease a loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray, or line it with parchment paper for easy removal. Pour the banana bread batter into the pan, smoothing the top with a spatula to ensure an even bake.
  6. Bake the Banana Bread: Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Keep an eye on it after the 50-minute mark to prevent overbaking. If the top starts to brown too quickly, you can cover it loosely with aluminum foil.
  7. Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the banana bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve once it has cooled down, or enjoy it slightly warm with a pat of butter or a drizzle of honey.
