Instructions
1. Make the Brownies:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper and grease the sides.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the sugar and cocoa powder until smooth.
- Remove from heat and whisk in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Fold in the flour and salt just until combined. Do not overmix.
- Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared pans. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pans before assembling.
