Summer Cookie Dough Brownie Cake

Instructions

1. Make the Brownies:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper and grease the sides.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the sugar and cocoa powder until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and whisk in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. Fold in the flour and salt just until combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared pans. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Let the brownies cool completely in the pans before assembling.
