Spicy Southern-Style Blackened Fish Plate with Creole Rice & Garlic Green Beans

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Blackened Fish

  1. Mix Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  2. Brush the fish fillet with melted butter on both sides.
  3. Coat generously with the seasoning blend.
  4. Heat a nonstick or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Pan-sear fish for 3–4 minutes per side, until blackened on the outside and juicy inside.

2. Creole Shrimp & Sausage Rice

  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet. Add diced onion, bell peppers, and sausage slices.
  2. Sauté until the vegetables are softened and sausage begins to brown.
  3. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, cooked rice, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mix well and heat through for 2–3 minutes.

3. Garlic Green Beans

  1. In a small skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and green beans. Sauté for 5–6 minutes until beans are crisp-tender.
  3. Season with salt and remove from heat.
