Spicy Grilled Trout with Lemon & Herbs

🔥 Instructions

1. Prepare the Trout:

  1. Rinse the trout under cold water and pat dry thoroughly using paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to make a marinade.
  3. Rub the marinade generously both inside the cavity and over the entire exterior of each trout.
  4. Let the trout marinate for 15–20 minutes while you preheat the grill.

2. Preheat the Grill:

  1. Heat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Lightly oil the grates with a brush or spray to prevent the trout from sticking.

3. Grill the Trout:

  1. Place the trout directly on the grill grates, skin-side down first.
  2. Grill for 4–5 minutes per side, flipping gently using a wide spatula or tongs.
  3. The trout is done when the skin is crisp and the flesh flakes easily with a fork.
