1. Prepare the Trout:
- Rinse the trout under cold water and pat dry thoroughly using paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to make a marinade.
- Rub the marinade generously both inside the cavity and over the entire exterior of each trout.
- Let the trout marinate for 15–20 minutes while you preheat the grill.
2. Preheat the Grill:
- Heat grill to medium-high heat.
- Lightly oil the grates with a brush or spray to prevent the trout from sticking.
3. Grill the Trout:
- Place the trout directly on the grill grates, skin-side down first.
- Grill for 4–5 minutes per side, flipping gently using a wide spatula or tongs.
- The trout is done when the skin is crisp and the flesh flakes easily with a fork.
4. Serve:
