- Prepare the slow cooker: Lightly grease the insert of a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker or use a slow cooker liner for easy cleanup.
- Add the beef: Place the beef stew meat evenly across the bottom of the slow cooker. No need to brown it—let the slow cooker do the work.
- Mix the sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together the onion soup mix, beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, dried parsley, and black pepper. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and combined.
- Combine: Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the beef, ensuring all pieces are well coated.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 7–8 hours or on high for 4–5 hours, or until the beef is fork-tender and the gravy is thick and flavorful.
