Old-Fashioned Stuffed Cabbage Rolls – Hearty, Classic & Comforting

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Cabbage Leaves:

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Core the cabbage and carefully remove outer leaves.
  2. Boil the cabbage head for 5–7 minutes, peeling off leaves as they soften and become pliable. Set aside 12 large leaves.

2️⃣ Make the Filling:

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix until just combined.

3️⃣ Fill and Roll:

  1. Place 2–3 tablespoons of filling in the center of each cabbage leaf. Fold sides inward and roll up tightly like a burrito.

4️⃣ Make the Sauce:

  1. In a saucepan, combine tomato sauce, tomato paste, broth, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire (if using), salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.
