For the Vanilla Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Oven & Pan
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly grease a 12-cavity donut pan or use non-stick spray.
2️⃣ Make the Batter
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the buttermilk, beaten eggs, vanilla, and melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
3️⃣ Fill & Bake
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about ⅔ full.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.
- Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before glazing.
4️⃣ Make the Glaze
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Dip the cooled donuts into the glaze, letting the excess drip off.
- Place back on the rack to allow the glaze to set.
