Moist and Rich Chocolate Cake

Procedure

  1. Sift the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Sifting is important to remove any lumps and evenly distribute the dry ingredients, ensuring a smooth batter.
  2. Prepare the Wet Ingredients: In another large bowl, combine the groundnut oil, eggs, buttermilk, and sugar. Mix everything together until smooth. If you don’t have buttermilk, you can make it by adding 1 tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice to 1 cup of milk and letting it sit for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing with a whisk until fully combined. The batter will be smooth and slightly thick.
  4. Add the Coffee and Flavors: In a separate cup, dissolve 1 teaspoon of unsweetened dark coffee in 1 cup of hot water. Stir to combine, then pour the coffee mixture into the batter. This will enhance the chocolate flavor without making the cake taste like coffee. Add the vanilla and chocolate flavor and mix well.
