- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly combined and the texture holds together when pressed. Transfer the mixture to your prepared baking dish and press it into an even layer along the bottom, forming a sturdy base similar to a traditional meatloaf.
- Layer the cooked macaroni noodles evenly over the meatloaf base. Use freshly cooked, drained noodles that are still warm but not overly soft. This will help them maintain their shape while absorbing some of the sauce during baking.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the macaroni layer, distributing it evenly to ensure a melty, cheesy top with every bite.
