Low-Carb Tuna or Salmon Patties (Bariatric-Friendly & High-Protein)

  1. Mix the ingredients:
In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna or salmon, egg, almond flour, Greek yogurt, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. If using, fold in chopped green onions or fresh herbs for extra flavor. Stir until well blended—the mixture should be moist but easy to shape.
  2. Form the patties:
Scoop out portions of the mixture and form into small patties, about 2 to 3 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick. You should get about 4–6 patties, depending on size.
  3. Cook the patties:
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a light coating of olive oil. Once hot, add the patties in a single layer (cook in batches if needed). Fry for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy on the outside and heated through.
  4. Serve:
Enjoy warm with a dollop of Greek yogurt, a squeeze of lemon juice, or over a salad for a complete low-carb meal. They also pair great with sugar-free dipping sauces or roasted veggies.
