1. Marinate the Steaks
- In a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag, mix olive oil, soy sauce, Italian herbs, garlic, pepper, and salt.
- Add steaks, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, or refrigerate for up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.
2. Preheat the Grill
- Preheat your grill (or grill pan) to medium-high heat. Clean and lightly oil the grates.
3. Grill the Steaks
- Remove steaks from marinade and let excess drip off. Place on grill.
- Grill based on preferred doneness:
- Medium-rare: 4ā5 minutes per side
- Medium: 5ā6 minutes per side
- Well-done: 6ā7 minutes per side
- Avoid pressing the steak to retain juices. Use tongs for flipping.
4. Let Rest & Slice
- Transfer steaks to a clean plate or board and tent loosely with foil. Let rest for 5ā10 minutes to seal in juices.
- Slice against the grain and serve warm.
