Hot Chip Boudin Balls

3️⃣ Prepare the Dredging Station

  • Bowl 1: All-purpose flour
  • Bowl 2: Beaten eggs
  • Bowl 3: Crushed hot chips

Tip: Use a food processor for fine chip crumbs, or crush them in a zip-top bag with a rolling pin for a chunkier coating.

4️⃣ Coat the Boudin Balls

  1. Roll each frozen boudin ball in flour to coat.
  2. Dip into the beaten eggs, allowing the excess to drip off.
  3. Roll in crushed hot chips, pressing gently so the crumbs adhere well.

5️⃣ Fry to Perfection

  1. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Fry boudin balls in small batches for 3–4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

6️⃣ Serve & Devour

  • Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
  • Perfect dipping sauces: ranch, spicy remoulade, chipotle mayo, or your favorite hot sauce!
