Looking to level up your party snacks or game day bites? These Hot Chip Boudin Balls are next-level delicious! A spicy, cheesy twist on classic Southern boudin balls, they’re rolled in crushed Flamin’ Hot chips for a bold, crunchy coating that packs serious heat. Crisp on the outside, creamy on the inside, and perfect with dipping sauce—these are guaranteed to disappear fast!

🌶️ Ingredients

For the Boudin Balls:

  • 1 pound boudin sausage (casing removed)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for extra cheesiness)

For Breading & Frying:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2–3 cups crushed hot chips (Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, Hot Doritos, etc.)
  • Vegetable oil (for deep frying)

🔥 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Boudin Mixture

  1. Remove the casing from the boudin sausage and place the filling in a large bowl.
  2. Add shredded cheddar cheese, if using, and mix until evenly combined.
  3. Form into small balls, about 1 to 2 tablespoons each. Place them on a parchment-lined tray.

2️⃣ Freeze for Structure

  • Freeze the formed boudin balls for 30 minutes. This helps them hold their shape during coating and frying.

3️⃣ Prepare the Dredging Station
