👩🍳 Instructions
Step 1: Bake the Cake
- Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour three 8- or 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, pudding mix, milk, buttermilk, oil, and eggs on low speed until blended.
- Increase speed to medium and beat for 2 full minutes.
- Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cakes cool in pans for 5–10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 2: Make the Icing
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the granulated sugar and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in the Cool Whip until fluffy and well incorporated.
- Stir in the grated Hershey’s bar and chopped pecans. Reserve a small amount of chocolate or nuts for garnish, if desired.
