Hershey Bar Cake – Rich, Creamy, and Totally Indulgent

Step 1: Bake the Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour three 8- or 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, pudding mix, milk, buttermilk, oil, and eggs on low speed until blended.
  3. Increase speed to medium and beat for 2 full minutes.
  4. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans.
  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cakes cool in pans for 5–10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 2: Make the Icing

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the granulated sugar and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  2. Fold in the Cool Whip until fluffy and well incorporated.
  3. Stir in the grated Hershey’s bar and chopped pecans. Reserve a small amount of chocolate or nuts for garnish, if desired.
