Heavenly Cinnamon Roll Breadtwists

1. Make the dough

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm milk + yeast + sugar. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add eggmelted butter, and salt; mix well.
  3. Add flour gradually until a soft  dough forms.
  4. Knead 5–7 minutes (or 3 minutes on medium in a mixer) until smooth.
  5. Cover and let rise 1 hour, or until doubled.

2. Prepare the filling

Mix soft butterbrown sugarcinnamon, and optional cream into a spreadable paste.

3. Roll out the dough

  1. Punch down dough and turn onto a floured surface.
  2. Roll into a large rectangle (about 12×18 inches / 30×45 cm).
  3. Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough.

4. Fold and cut

  1. Fold the dough in half lengthwise (like closing a book).
  2. Cut into 1-inch wide strips.
  3. Take each strip, twist several times, and place on a lined baking sheet.

5. Rise & Bake
