Garlic Pepper Steak Stir Fry

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Marinate the Steak:

  1. In a bowl, mix together the thinly sliced steak, soy sauce, cornstarch, vegetable oil, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Let the steak marinate for 10–15 minutes to soak in the flavors.

2️⃣ Make the Stir Fry Sauce:

  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, black pepper, and chili flakes (if using).
  2. Set the sauce aside while you stir-fry the steak and vegetables.

3️⃣ Stir Fry the Steak:

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over high heat.
  2. Add the marinated steak and cook for 2–3 minutes, searing until browned and just cooked through. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.

4️⃣ Cook the Veggies:

  1. Add a little more oil to the pan if needed. Add the sliced bell peppers and onions.
  2. Stir-fry the veggies for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.

5️⃣ Combine Everything:

  1. Return the cooked steak to the pan with the veggies.
  2. Pour in the stir fry sauce and toss everything together until well coated.
  3. Cook for 1–2 minutes, until everything is glossy and heated through.
