1. Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8Ɨ8-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal and cleanup.

2. Make the Crust

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and melted butter.
  2. Mix until a soft dough forms. Press evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from oven and set aside.

3. Prepare the Apple Filling

  1. In a bowl, toss the diced apples with granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg until evenly coated.
  2. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the pre-baked crust.

4. Make the Crumble Topping

  1. In a separate bowl, stir together the oats, flour, brown sugar, and melted butter until crumbly.
  2. Sprinkle evenly over the apple layer, pressing down gently to adhere.

5. Bake & Cool

  1. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apples are soft and bubbling.
  2. Remove from oven and let cool completely in the pan.
  3. Lift out using the parchment paper and cut into 12 squares or bars.
