Step 1: Make the Crust

Step 3: Add the Sweet Potato Layer

  1. In a separate mixing bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and the egg.
  2. Mix until fully incorporated and smooth.
  3. Carefully spread this mixture over the cream cheese layer using a spatula, ensuring even coverage without disturbing the base layer.

Step 4: Bake

  1. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 45–50 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Remove the pie and allow it to cool completely at room temperature before topping.
