Step 1: Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente.
- Drain the pasta and set aside. Toss with a bit of oil or butter to prevent sticking if needed.
Step 2: Brown the Beef
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked through, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks.
- Drain any excess fat and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3: Make the Cheese Sauce
- In a large saucepan or deep skillet, add the cubed Velveeta cheese, softened cream cheese, and cream of chicken soup.
- Cook over low heat, stirring frequently until the cheeses melt completely and the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
- If the sauce is too thick, add milk gradually to loosen it to your desired consistency.
