Instructions
1. Cook the Cajun Shrimp:
- Pat shrimp dry and toss with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
2. Cook the Sausage:
- In the same skillet, add sliced sausage. Cook until browned, about 3–4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
3. Prepare the Creamy Cajun Sauce:
- Add butter and olive oil to the skillet. Sauté chopped onion and red bell pepper for 5 minutes until softened.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth (if using). Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Let simmer for 5–7 minutes until sauce thickens slightly, then stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
4. Combine and Serve:
