Classic Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Dough

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and dry yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add sugar, melted butter, eggs, and salt. Mix to combine.
  3. Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, stirring until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic (by hand or with a dough hook).
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel or plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

2️⃣ Form the Rolls

  1. Roll out the risen dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle (approx. 16×12 inches).
  2. Spread softened butter over the surface of the dough.
  3. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the buttered dough.
  4. Roll the dough tightly from the long edge into a log. Slice into 12 even pieces (about 2–3 cm wide).
  5. Place rolls on a parchment-lined or greased 9×13-inch pan, leaving a bit of space between them.

3️⃣ Bake the Cinnamon Rolls

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Bake the rolls for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown on top and baked through.
