Cinnamon Pear Galette Recipe

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 1 + 1/4 cups (150 g) flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 115 g butter (cold, cubed)
  • 3–4 tablespoons ice-cold water

For the filling:

  • 3 ripe pears (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (optional but goes very well)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

For the topping:

  • 1 tablespoon butter (in small pieces)
  • 1 egg (for the edges)
  • Optional: A pinch of brown sugar or powdered sugar for decoration
