👩🍳 Instructions
1. Mix the Creamy Base
- In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, minced garlic, Old Bay seasoning, salt, pepper, and optional hot sauce.
- Whip with a hand mixer or stir vigorously until smooth and fluffy.
2. Fold in the Seafood & Cheese
- Gently fold in the chopped shrimp, crab meat, half of the shredded mozzarella, all of the Parmesan, and half the green onions or chives.
- Stir until evenly distributed without breaking up the crab too much.
3. Bake It Melty
- Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish. Spread evenly.
- Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes, or until hot and bubbling around the edges.
4. Optional Golden Finish
- For a browned cheesy crust, broil on high for 1–2 minutes—watch closely to avoid burning.
5. Garnish & Serve
- Sprinkle with the remaining chopped chives or green onions.
- Serve immediately with toasted baguette slices, crackers, or tortilla chips.
