Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat Oven
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and even baking.
2️⃣ Cream Butter and Sugars
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
- Beat until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes using a hand or stand mixer.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract. Mix until fully incorporated.
3️⃣ Combine Dry Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture. Mix until just combined—do not overmix.
4️⃣ Fold in Pecans
- Gently stir in the chopped pecans using a spatula or wooden spoon.
5️⃣ Shape and Bake
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Gently press each cookie down slightly to flatten.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are still soft.
6️⃣ Cool and Serve
