1️⃣ Bake the Cookie Base:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Press sugar cookie dough evenly into the bottom of the dish. Stir in 1 tsp vanilla extract if desired.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until lightly golden. Let cool completely before adding filling.
2️⃣ Make the Cream Filling:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together cold milk and instant pudding mix. Let sit until thickened (about 5 minutes).
- In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth (optional but adds extra creaminess).
- Fold in heavy cream or Cool Whip to the cream cheese until light and fluffy.
- Gently combine with the thickened pudding to create a silky filling. Spread evenly over the cooled cookie crust.
