🍰 Ingredients
Chocolate Cake:
- 1½ cups (190 g) all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup (75 g) cocoa powder
- 1½ cups (300 g) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- ¾ cup (180 ml) milk
- ½ cup (120 ml) vegetable oil
- ¾ cup (180 ml) hot water or brewed coffee
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Vanilla Cream:
- 400 ml milk
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp flour
- ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract or seeds from 1 vanilla bean
- 1 tbsp butter
- 100 ml chilled heavy cream (added after cooling)
Berry Layer:
- 150 g blueberries
- 100 g blackberries
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp cornstarch (dissolved in a little water)
Black Mirror Glaze:
- 150 g powdered sugar
- 100 ml water
- 100 g glucose syrup or honey
- 75 g cocoa powder
- 100 ml heavy cream
- 5 g gelatin (1 sheet or 1 tsp powdered, bloomed)
