🌌 Preparation Steps

1. Make the Chocolate Cake:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two round or rectangular cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, mix all dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually pour in hot water or coffee and stir until the batter is glossy and well combined.

  2. Add the cornstarch slurry and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  3. Remove from heat and allow to cool fully.

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together milk, cornstarch, flour, sugar, and vanilla over medium heat until thick and smooth.
  2. Remove from heat, stir in butter, and allow to cool completely.
  3. Once cooled, whisk in the chilled heavy cream until light and airy.
