These Triple Chocolate Brownie Cupcakes are best served fresh, but they can be stored for up to 3 days in an airtight container at room temperature. If you want to make them ahead of time, you can bake the cupcakes a day before and store them without the frosting. Frost the cupcakes just before serving to keep the frosting fresh and fluffy.
Tips:
- If you want to make these cupcakes even more decadent, add a piece of chocolate in the center of each cupcake before baking for a molten chocolate surprise.
- For a different flavor, substitute the semi-sweet chocolate chips with milk or white chocolate chips, or use all dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
- These cupcakes also freeze well. Once fully cooled and frosted, wrap each cupcake in plastic wrap and store in a freezer-safe container for up to 2 months. Thaw before serving.
