The “8-Inch Pipe” Method for Endless Homemade Fertilizer

 HOW TO BUILD YOUR OWN
1. Choose Your Pipe
Pick up an 8-inch PVC tube—or the largest leftover pipe you can source. Bigger diameter = fewer reloads.
2. Secure It Upright
Attach the pipe vertically to a solid post or wall using heavy metal strap brackets. Wet comfrey is dense, so stability matters.
3. Create the Drain Base
At the bottom, install either:
a strong metal mesh screen, or
an end cap drilled with several small holes
This allows the liquid to escape while keeping the broken-down plant material inside.

⚠️ HOW TO USE THE CONCENTRATE (IMPORTANT!)
The dark liquid that comes out is extremely strong. Treat it like a syrupy extract—not a ready-to-use fertilizer.
Dilution Ratio
👉 Mix 1 part comfrey concentrate with 15 parts water.
