Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake

Step 1: Prepare the Cheesecake Layer

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the egg and continue to beat until fully combined and smooth. This will create the cheesecake filling that will sit beneath the strawberry layer.

Step 2: Assemble the Cake

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Next, spoon the cheesecake mixture over the pie filling, spreading it evenly across the top. Don’t worry about it being perfectly smooth, as it will spread and bake together with the cake layer.

Step 3: Add the Cake Layer

  1. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top of the cheesecake and fruit layers. Be sure to cover the entire surface, but don’t mix it in.
  2. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the dry cake mix. If the cake mix seems a little dry, you can add a tablespoon or two of water to help it bake more evenly. The butter will soak into the cake mix, creating a delicious, slightly crisp topping.

Step 4: Bake the Cake

  1. Bake the dump cake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling around the edges.
  2. Check the center to ensure the cake has fully baked by inserting a toothpick—if it comes out clean, the cake is done.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
