Sausage Dipped Pancakes

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Sausage

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the sausage patties for 3–5 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through.
  2. Drain on paper towels and let cool slightly.

2️⃣ Prepare the Pancake Batter

  1. In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, vanilla extract, melted butter, and maple syrup until smooth.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until mostly smooth (some lumps are fine).

3️⃣ Dip the Sausages in the Batter

  1. Preheat a griddle or large skillet over medium heat and coat lightly with oil or non-stick spray.
  2. Dip each sausage patty into the pancake batter, making sure it’s fully coated.

4️⃣ Cook the Pancakes

  1. Place the battered sausage patties onto the griddle and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  2. Repeat with the remaining patties, adding more oil or non-stick spray to the griddle as needed.
