1️⃣ Mix the Ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion, beaten egg, lemon juice, and parsley (if using).
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir until all ingredients are evenly combined and the mixture holds together when pressed.
- Shape into 6–8 patties, depending on your preferred size.
2️⃣ Cook the Patties
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
- Once hot, add the salmon patties in a single layer — do not overcrowd the pan.
- Cook for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.
- Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
