Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Set oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the pastry: Unfold the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Gently roll it out to smooth any creases or seams.
  3. For Twists:
    • Cut pastry into ½-inch wide strips.
    • Brush each strip with egg wash.
    • Sprinkle with your chosen sweet or savory topping.
    • Twist gently and place on the baking sheet.
  4. For Pinwheels:
    • Spread a thin layer of filling (e.g., jam or Nutella) over the pastry.
    • Roll tightly from one long side to the other.
    • Slice into 1-inch rounds, place cut-side down on the sheet.
    • Brush with egg wash, sprinkle topping if desired.
  5. For Cheese Straws:
    • Sprinkle cheese and herbs over the pastry, press lightly to stick.
    • Cut into strips, twist or leave straight.
    • Brush with egg wash.
  6. Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  7. Cool & serve: Let cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before serving. Best enjoyed warm and fresh from the oven.
