1️⃣ Prep the Apples
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel and core the apples, then cut each apple into 8 wedges (you’ll have 16 total slices).
2️⃣ Roll the Dumplings
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 16 triangles.
- Roll each apple slice in one triangle of dough, starting at the wider end and rolling toward the point.
- Place the wrapped apple slices in a buttered 9×13-inch baking dish.
3️⃣ Make the Sauce
- In a saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter.
- Stir in the sugar just until combined—it should still be slightly grainy.
- Add vanilla extract and stir briefly.
4️⃣ Assemble and Bake
- Pour the butter-sugar mixture evenly over the dumplings.
- Pour the Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan (not directly on top of the dumplings).
- Sprinkle cinnamon generously over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 40 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling.
5️⃣ Serve
