1️⃣ Prepare the Bread
- Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread. This will be the outer, crisped side when grilled.
2️⃣ Assemble the Sandwiches
- On the non-buttered side of two slices of bread, spread 1 tablespoon marinara sauce each.
- Sprinkle ½ cup shredded mozzarella over the sauce (¼ cup per sandwich).
- Layer 4 slices of pepperoni on each sandwich.
- Sprinkle with oregano and garlic powder (if using) for that classic pizza flavor.
- Top with remaining mozzarella and close with the other slices of bread, butter side out.
3️⃣ Cook the Sandwiches
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Place the sandwiches in the pan. Cook for 3–4 minutes per side or until the bread is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted.
- Press down gently with a spatula for even browning and melting.
4️⃣ Serve
