Nutella-Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Baking and Finishing

  1. Layer the Batter: Grease a baking pan thoroughly. Spread half of the dough evenly across the bottom of the pan, pressing it gently into place to form a smooth base.
  2. Add the Nutella Filling: Spoon the Nutella over the dough layer, spreading it carefully into an even layer while leaving a small border around the edges. This helps prevent the filling from leaking out during baking.
  3. Top with Remaining Dough: Add the remaining dough over the Nutella layer, gently spreading and leveling the surface so the filling is fully enclosed.
  4. Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 20–25 minutes, until the edges are set and lightly golden. The center should remain soft for a fudgy, cookie-like texture.
  5. Cool and Decorate: Allow the bars to cool before decorating. Once cooled, drizzle or pipe melted Nutella over the surface in decorative lines for a rich, finished look.

Tips & Serving

These cookie bars are delicious served warm, especially when paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an indulgent dessert. The contrast between the warm bars and cold ice cream makes them extra special.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The bars can be gently reheated to restore their soft texture and melty center before serving.
