Moist Oil-Based Vanilla Cake with Vanilla Buttercream

This Oil-Based Vanilla Cake is a soft, moist, and tender dessert perfect for any occasion. Ingredients

For the Vanilla Cake:

  • 2½ cups (312g) all-purpose flour
  • 1¾ cups (350g) granulated sugar
  • 2½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup (240ml) whole milk
  • 1 cup (240ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (120ml) hot water

For the Vanilla Buttercream Frosting:

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 4 cups (500g) icing sugar, sifted
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2–4 tablespoons milk or cream (adjust as needed)
