Chocolate Drizzle
- Make the Chocolate Drizzle: While the cake is cooling, prepare the chocolate drizzle. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over low heat until it begins to simmer. Once the cream is hot, remove it from the heat and add the chopped dark chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the sauce is smooth and glossy. The cream helps the chocolate melt smoothly, creating a rich, velvety drizzle.
- Drizzle Over the Cake: Once the cake has cooled completely, pour the warm chocolate drizzle over the top of the cake. Allow the drizzle to flow down the sides of the cake for a beautiful effect. If you prefer a more dramatic presentation, you can use a spoon to drizzle the chocolate in a crisscross pattern or along the edges of the cake.
