Mississippi Mud Cake Recipe

Store any leftover cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. The cake will stay moist thanks to the marshmallows and chocolate icing.
If you prefer to make this cake ahead of time, you can bake it and store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Warm it up in the microwave for a few seconds before serving for that fresh, gooey texture.
For a more decadent version, add a layer of chocolate chips on top of the marshmallows before baking. They’ll melt into the marshmallows, adding an extra chocolatey layer!
This cake is also freezer-friendly. Wrap individual pieces in plastic wrap and store in a freezer-safe container for up to 1 month. Thaw at room temperature before serving.
