Storage and Tips
- Store any leftover cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. The cake will stay moist thanks to the marshmallows and chocolate icing.
- If you prefer to make this cake ahead of time, you can bake it and store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Warm it up in the microwave for a few seconds before serving for that fresh, gooey texture.
- For a more decadent version, add a layer of chocolate chips on top of the marshmallows before baking. They’ll melt into the marshmallows, adding an extra chocolatey layer!
- This cake is also freezer-friendly. Wrap individual pieces in plastic wrap and store in a freezer-safe container for up to 1 month. Thaw at room temperature before serving.
