Serving & Storage Tips
Lamingtons are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. They make for a perfect tea-time snack or dessert for family gatherings. The combination of fluffy cake, creamy chocolate, and coconut is always a crowd-pleaser!
Storage:
- Store leftover lamingtons in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. If the weather is hot, it’s better to refrigerate them to prevent the chocolate from becoming too soft.
- You can also freeze lamingtons for up to 1 month. To do this, place them in a freezer-safe container, separating layers with parchment paper. Thaw them in the refrigerator overnight before serving.
Tips:
- If you prefer a less sweet lamington, use dark chocolate in the syrup for a richer flavor.
- Feel free to experiment with different flavor twists, like adding orange zest to the cake or mixing crushed nuts into the coconut for added texture.
- For an extra indulgent version, drizzle extra chocolate syrup on top of the lamingtons before serving.
