Krispy Kreme Peach Cobbler

Instructions

  1. Cook the Peaches:
    In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the peach slices, ½ cup brown sugar, ½ stick of butter, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg. Stir occasionally and let it cook down for about 10 minutes until the peaches are tender and syrupy.
  2. Thicken the Sauce:
    Mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with a small amount of cold water to form a slurry. Stir it into the peach mixture and let simmer for 1–2 more minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Custard Mixture:
    In a mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup heavy whipping cream, 1 cup Carnation milk, 2 eggs, ¼ cup brown sugar, and cinnamon to taste. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  4. Soak the Doughnuts:
    Cut the Krispy Kreme doughnuts into chunks and place them in the custard mixture. Let them soak for about 5 minutes to absorb the custard flavors.
