In a large bowl, gently mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until just combined.
Shape into 4 oval patties.
2ļøā£ Sear the Patties
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add patties and cook for 4ā5 minutes per side until browned. Transfer to a plate and set aside (they donāt need to be fully cooked yet).
3ļøā£ Make the Mushroom Gravy
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and sliced mushrooms. Cook for 6ā7 minutes until softened and lightly browned.
Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir for 1 minute to coat.
Slowly whisk in beef broth and a splash of Worcestershire. Stir constantly until smooth.
Simmer for 4ā5 minutes until the gravy thickens slightly.
4ļøā£ Finish the Dish
Return patties to the skillet and spoon gravy over the top.
Cover and simmer on low for another 5ā6 minutes until the patties are cooked through and infused with flavor.
