Holiday Candied Pecans

1️⃣ Prep the Oven

  • Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray it lightly with cooking spray (such as Pam).

2️⃣ Make the Coating

  1. In a large ziplock bag, combine the sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk the egg white, water, and vanilla together until frothy and light (this helps the sugar mixture adhere to the pecans).
  3. Add the pecan halves to the egg white mixture and stir gently until all pecans are thoroughly coated.
  4. Transfer the coated pecans into the prepared ziplock bag. Seal and shake well until all pecans are evenly coated with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

3️⃣ Bake

  1. Dump the coated pecans onto your prepared baking sheet and spread them out into an even layer.
  2. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes to prevent clumping and ensure even toasting.

4️⃣ Cool & Serve

  • Allow pecans to cool completely on the baking sheet—this will let them crisp up beautifully.
  • Once cooled, transfer to an airtight container or package for gifting.
