1️⃣ Prep the Oven
- Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray it lightly with cooking spray (such as Pam).
2️⃣ Make the Coating
- In a large ziplock bag, combine the sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk the egg white, water, and vanilla together until frothy and light (this helps the sugar mixture adhere to the pecans).
- Add the pecan halves to the egg white mixture and stir gently until all pecans are thoroughly coated.
- Transfer the coated pecans into the prepared ziplock bag. Seal and shake well until all pecans are evenly coated with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
3️⃣ Bake
- Dump the coated pecans onto your prepared baking sheet and spread them out into an even layer.
- Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes to prevent clumping and ensure even toasting.
4️⃣ Cool & Serve
- Allow pecans to cool completely on the baking sheet—this will let them crisp up beautifully.
- Once cooled, transfer to an airtight container or package for gifting.
