Wet Ingredients:

• 1½ sticks unsalted butter, softened (¾ cup)
• 1½ cups light brown sugar
• 2 large eggs
• ½ cup molasses
• 1 cup water

For the Dark Rum Glaze:

• ⅓ cup dark rum
• ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
• ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
• ¾ cup granulated sugar
