Garlic Butter Steak Bites and Cheesy Smashed Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs (675g) baby potatoes or Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) sour cream
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded cheddar cheese (or your choice)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2–3 green onions, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Boil Potatoes: Place potatoes in a pot with salted water. Boil 15–20 minutes until fork-tender.
  2. Drain & Smash: Drain and return to pot. Use a masher or fork to gently smash potatoes — leave them a bit chunky.
  3. Add Flavor: Mix in olive oil, milk, sour cream, butter, and shredded cheese. Stir until melted and creamy.
  4. Season: Add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve: Transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with green onions if desired.
🍽️ Tip: Serve both dishes side-by-side with a fresh green salad or garlic bread for a complete meal!
