Fish Fillet with Mustard Sauce

👨‍🍳 Preparation

  1. Dry the Fillets: Pat the fish fillets dry with kitchen paper. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the Fish: Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the fillets for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté Garlic: In the same pan, add the remaining butter and chopped garlic. Sauté for 1 minute, stirring to avoid burning.
  4. Add Sauce Ingredients: Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, mustard, and broth. Let the mixture simmer and reduce for 2–3 minutes to concentrate the flavor.
  5. Make it Creamy (Optional): Add cooking cream and stir gently until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Return the Fish: Place the seared fillets back in the pan. Spoon the sauce over the fish and let them warm through for 2 minutes.
  7. Garnish & Serve: Plate the fish, pour over extra sauce, and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley. Serve hot.
🍽️ Serving Suggestion: Pair with steamed vegetables, rice, or creamy mashed potatoes for a complete and elegant meal.
