Festive Cranberry Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat the Oven & Prepare the Pan:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with butter or cooking spray.

2️⃣ Prepare the Cake:

  1. Prepare the cake mix according to the box instructions. Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes, then poke holes all over the top using the handle of a wooden spoon.

3️⃣ Make the Cranberry Filling:

  1. In a saucepan, combine cranberry sauce, cranberry juice, and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until smooth and slightly thickened (about 5 minutes).
  2. Pour the warm cranberry mixture over the cooled cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes. Let the cake cool completely.

4️⃣ Make the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  2. Fold in the whipped topping (or whipped cream) until fully combined and fluffy.
