Dolly’s Chicken and Stuffing Casserole

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare Stuffing Mix: In a medium bowl, combine dry stuffing mix with chicken broth. Let sit for 5 minutes to absorb. Add butter if using.
  3. Make Chicken Mixture: In a separate bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined.
  4. Assemble: Spread creamy chicken mixture evenly in the prepared dish. Top with stuffing mixture and spread evenly.
  5. Bake: Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, or until casserole is heated through and top is golden.
  6. Garnish & Serve: Let cool a few minutes before serving. Top with chopped parsley if desired.

Tips:

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a quick prep shortcut.
  • Add frozen peas or green beans to the chicken mixture for extra vegetables.
