- Spread the still-warm apple filling over the prepared base. Distribute it evenly to ensure each slice has a balanced amount of fruit and creaminess.
- Cover with the other half of the crumble, distributing it without pressing. Let the crumbs fall naturally across the top so they retain their texture and bake into a crisp, dark layer.
4️⃣ Baking
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 40 to 45 minutes. The crumble should deepen in color, crisp at the edges, and the filling should bubble slightly around the sides, indicating it has set properly.
After it has cooled, you can finish it with a little powdered sugar for a delicate contrast to the dark topping. Allowing it to cool slightly before cutting helps the layers hold together while keeping the center soft and rich.
